Opportunities

Explore impactful opportunities to support, fund and collaborate on innovative solutions that drive lasting water security internationally.
Collective Action for a Water-Secure World (C4W) works wherever water insecurity threatens health or prosperity—overseas and here at home in the United States.

In the U.S., aging infrastructure, PFAS ‘forever chemical’ contamination, and climate-driven droughts endanger communities from the Navajo Nation to the Mid-Atlantic. By applying lessons from our international programs and leveraging U.S. expertise in finance and technology, C4W builds bridges between global innovation and domestic resilience.

Changing Lives in East Africa: Scaling innovation for water security

Water insecurity threatens the livelihoods of small-scale farmers and pastoralists across East Africa, leaving them vulnerable to climate shocks. Changing Lives in East Africa (CLEA), a flagship program led by C4W in partnership with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), is set to change this. Running from 2024 to 2028, CLEA will enhance water security for 500,000 farmers in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda, helping them build resilience through innovation and collaboration.

Our approach

  • Empowering farmer-led irrigation
Farmers take the lead in developing their own irrigation solutions, moving beyond top-down systems to create sustainable, market-driven access to water.
  • Bridging sectors for impact
We bring together governments, businesses, financial institutions, and local communities to break down barriers and accelerate real solutions.
  • Advancing the global agenda
CLEA supports Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 5 and 6, ensuring access to water and food security while promoting gender equality and economic growth.
